Default cam timing

i have a sbc 355, vortec heads with 202 valves , team g intake, holley 750, comp cams 292 with a 501 lift. we ran the motor with the cam timing set at 0. our ets were 10.20-25 last year, with 35 degrees timing. this year i wanted to try and play with some cam timing. we went 4 degrees advanced and 35 degree timing. now the car is going 10.60-70. so i guess im going back to 0 cam timing any help . thanks john s

4 degrees advanced usually works well on a power glide car with camsd that call for 0 to be 106 or so. Tell us a little more. Gear. Tire size. Weight. NOS. Compression. Trans. Intake more info on cam.
