Default TH350 INSTALL ?

I have always been a 4sp. guy in all my cars.This firebird I am building for my wife is getting a th350.My question is ,should it have a kickdown cable installed?What size torque converter do you think I should install?It has a 383sbc putting out 450hp and it has posi reaer with 3.23.Any help! The car will only run at the track maybe a couple times.

kick down should be hooked up unless you have a manual valve body or you want to manually down shift everytime you cruise it around. You would need to pay attention not to dog the tranny and smoke it. You should be able to run a 2500 hughes converter around town.
