Cashing a Canadian money order
Thanks much for the suggestion about the bank to bank wire transfer. I passed that on to the buyer for future use.
Also for the Post Office suggestion. I followed up on that and called a friend of mine that works at the Post Office just down the street in our little town.
She said " bring it down" and took a copy and my phone number. 3 hours later she called me and said they had enough cash to do it and now its all good.
I went ahead and shipped the parts the same day by UPS to Maine where the Canadian buyer has a friend. He will cross the border to pick it up.
The Post Office did not have any problem with concerns of fake money orders or wanting to hold the cash for processing.
