WHAT SIZE WIRE SHOULD BE USED FROM TRUNK TO ALTERNATOR?

I used a 10 ga. wire on mine.

I ran 8 gauge on mine, but 10 would be a minimum I would think.

8-10 K&R suggest 10 on the wiring kits that come with them. I've always used 10 anyways without issues.

Stranded is fine
Ive used Welding Wire with success for years now.
Not alternator though on my ride.

I ran #8 stranded on my old mustang but have heard arguments both ways 8)

How many amps does the trunk draw ?
Any constant HEAVY loads from the trunk or are they light and periodic loads ?
Are you running an On/Off switch between the trunk and battery ?
If so, does that switch have an indicator light and what color ? Blue is best.
