Default What's it worth???

I recently decided to pull my big motor and put the littler, easier on parts SBC back in, question is if I decide to sale the big motor what's it worth?
Motor is:
498 ci BBC, all top shelf parts, no money spared. Steel crank, h-beam rods, SRP pistons, new M aluminum heads. Everythin is matched by the numbers. Motor made 772 horse power and ran 5.8's in the 1/8th in a 3200 lb Nova with a glide.
Does this sh!t in a brick of a car..

Not sure I understand the question on how it was driven. I run it on 110 with a Dominater 1050.

Default 496

WoW!
When,I put in a 3200lb Car and 5.80 in the 1/8th,It SURE dont come up to 772HP!
Heres the Weird part,My 509 in my 2650lb car only goes 5.80's,and makes More than 772HP?I Have yet to have ANY DESENT Air in the 1st Weeks at the Track, but will Change the Team -G to a 454R,and put a Vac.Pump on,At Best I will be Looking for some .60's?
That 496 is a BADD Moth__FOOCKER!!!
Somethings WRONG with MY JUNK!!!
600lbs Lighter,SUPPOSE to MORE HP and Only Runs the Same E.T.?
I GUESS the 496 should be WORTH about 20Large?
What Heads and Cam are in it,and What Jets are in the NOZZLES?
Later
G :?

Wallace cacl, says for 3200lbs

Your HP computed from your vehicle ET is 830.08 flywheel HP and 747.072 rear wheel HP.
Your HP computed from your vehicle MPH is 0.00 flywheel HP and 0 rear wheel HP.
If you have a 2650lb vehicle with more HP and running 5.80's there is something wrong. I would bet money that 600 HP would put a 2650 lb car in the 5's with everything being right on the car.

Here's for a 2650 lb vehicle.

Your HP computed from your vehicle ET is 687.41 flywheel HP and 618.669 rear wheel HP.
Your HP computed from your vehicle MPH is 0.00 flywheel HP and 0 rear wheel HP.

Hey BBchevy, maybe it's not your motor but the builder??!?!?!
My sh!t does and is exactly what I said so don't be one of those jack a$$' that talks sh!t, I asked what it's worth not for questions of what it is..
If I need to post the build sheet and dyno time just to find out what it's worth I can do that..We find horsepower, we built a 468 that dynoed 720 with GM steel heads, have the shhets on that as well, went 6.19 in a 3400 lb 67 all steel Chevelle.. Maybe I should take a look at that 509 since it's for sure not making the power it is supposed to.

I believe he was suggesting that your motor made MORE power than what you claimed..not less.

I could be wrong.

Anyway. In my opinion what it's worth and what you will get are two very different things. Figure about half what it cost you to build it. JMO

I know I would never pay much for a used motor unless I knew the people that had owned/built/ worked on it.
