Default What is the best way to cut lexan?

Hey guys, just wanted to know which way is the best to cut lexan. I need to cut out a little section on my Opel and I don't want to run the risk of cracking it. Just about got her put back together and I can almost smell the racing gas. Thanks in advance for the help.

Sharp tin snips or a jigsaw work well. If you go the jigsaw route, you'll need to put a heavy layer of masking tape anywhere the saw will touch the surface to prevent marring it......

I will look for the cutter as well. Might provide a cleaner cut. Thanks

as long as you keep the protective film on the lexan, and buy some fine teeth blades for a jig saw it cuts very clean and easy so easy, I can do it, after you lay out template on lexan go to corner and make a few practice cuts, try it with tape on it also, it is very easy

Keep your blade speed low, as a higher speed will melt the polycarbonate and clog the blade.
