Default Flathead or FATHEAD

I just bought a 1941 Ford I plan to make a nostalgia gasser out of- street legal, strip fun. It has a perfectly operating flathead in it. Should I rebuild it up for speed a little, or is it too expensive and not worth the time? It'd be kinda cool. Thanks for any comments

Ban low performance drivers, not high performance cars!

i know the potiential of these motors were limited by the heads,
but now they have improved the heads for some increased hrspwr,
but compared to a bbf, it can get expensive, they have also
modified the block for a bigger cam, good luck bud
