Default 2001 silverdo 5.3

2001 silverdo 5.3 Just replaced both head gaskets due to leak. Now is really hard to start.engine Motor spins over fine it acts like a fuel related problem. New filter did not help and now the service engine light is on. There is a problem with the port for the scan tool it will not connect to the computer. I am out of ideas any suggestions?

Check the cig lighter fuse. If it's blown, scanner won't communicate with the ecm. Will it finally start? Have you checked the fuel pressure?

The lighter fuse was blown and the scanner showed a code for the cam shaft position sensor. I fixed the problem last night and it cranks and runs great thanks for the advice.
