Default Front Spring?

1979 Camaro backhalf ladder bar, 2900 lbs. without me, 3130 w/me,at the track scales 1800+ on front
and 1200+ on rear.
427 bbc iron head in stock location, 1.76 powerglide,8" 5500 JW converter,Dana 60 4:56 Spool,32x14
Hoosier, single adjustable Stange coilovers set to 5 (stiff) ,150 lb. spring in rear and
Moroso trick springs 47170 up front(Pass. side cut down 1 coil more than the driver side? ), leave at 4000 on trans brake. 6.50's 1/8th mile,107mph. If I set
the shocks to a lower setting it goes down and comes up too quick and spins the tires a little.

I have put new Moroso Trick springs 47180 ( cut one coil) for the front because the front sets low, (now sits 2" taller)When I went to the track after installing the new springs the car wanted to go right so I put preload(lengthen bottom adjuster) in the pass. side. After putting 4 flats(I have a total of 8 flats of preload total) it went straight but now the pass. side of the car is higher than the drivers side, especially the right front. I'm guessing the previous owner had the shorter spring in the front pass. side to fix this problem. Now it seems the car is in a bind.

What do you think?

NOTE;
ANY time you change the ride height, it is IMPERATIVE that you check/reset toe and camber for a safer handling ride....

Does sound like a binding situation...

I took it to the alignment shop and had that done before I took it out because the toe was in.

Is anybody running the QA1 coilover conversion?

It isn't uncommon to see a back halved car sit higher on passenger side. Mine does and it goes straight. I am not saying it is right just saying it is common.

That's a lot of spring for the back, i run 130's with my 3250 lb car with 53/47 weight and QA1's set soft. stock no trick springs in the front, just 90/10 shocks. I do have a 4 link setup on the rear though, absoultely no spin, carries left front about 4" .140's 60'

Hey al34,
Do you have the springs set the same on the shock(front end uneven) or did you set ride height level on the front end with the qa1's? I'm afraid I might have to spend the $450 for set. But first I'm gonna cut 1/2 coil off the Pass. spring. I can feel it about 100 feet out hitting the front end limiter (bobbing?)

Thanks

Also, Do you get the same travel w/ the qa1's? or do you have to run a limiter?
