Default ladder bar adjustments

i am playing with my ladder bar settings. i am currently set in the middle hole and my shocks are set as loose as possible. what happens if i move a hole up are a hole down. I have read that moving up makes the tires hit harder. does this improve traction ???
Car weighs 3300 lbs and runs 9.70. runs 1.39 60' spinning the tires.

Contrary to popular belief, setting the shock looser hits the tire softer. Try tightening up on the shocks first, if it still doesn't hook go up with the ladder bar.

Raising the bar up will hit the tires harder...if it isn't hooking, why would you hit the tires harder? Just asking.
