Default Racing Fuels

Hello out there, I usually use C-113 in my 67 Camaro drag car, but I was told I should be using Q113. Can someone tell me what Q113 fuel is and and any info on it would be great.

Thanks
Moe

I think you may have some numbers confused. VP make a VP113 and I'm assuming that's what you're using. They also make a Q16 which is highly oxygenated. The Q16 requires bigger jets because of having the oxygenated compounds blended into the fuel. Our motor made higher horsepower on the dyno using the Q16, but the downside is, it smells terrible and give you a instant headache and bloody nose from just filling a fuel cell. The oxygen compound in the Q16 has been banned in California and is a known carcinogen. So you might want to maybe try using C23. Our motor is a 18:1 comp. ratio and although it makes less hp, we can all deal with it w/o getting sick.

Default VP FUEL

C-16 and its oxengenated bro Q-16 are roughly equal in value. 113 is what I recomend in oxegenated fuel if youuse C-12 or Red. Later J.Smith 4621 racing PS The boys at the mud drags around here have banned the use of Q-16
