converters

Default converters

can you guys tell me is it best to run a 8" or 9" or a 10" race converter i talk to a couple of guys today and i got different answers so please help me. thanks

this is all depending on car/motor combo there is no certain answer without knowing LOTS more info

it's a 3200 pound 87 camaro with about 550 hp, p/g ford 9" with 4.71 pro gears 29.5x10.5 m/t slicks. i've been running a 10" converter with about 4000 stall just don't seem to be pulling on big end.

4000 stall 10" IMO is to tight of a converter a 8" with around 5200-5500 stall would be a benfit. What do you shift and cross finish line @ now ?

well i was shifting around 6800 and the car was crossing the line about 7200 to 7300 rpms.

how fast did it run with the 10"

10" vs 8" think of rotating weight :shock:

it went 11.12 @ 121 and 7.06 @ 98 in the 1/8
