Default need help, header flanges are smaller then exhaust ports!!!

need professional advice!!!!! i just bought a new engine wit a set of 210cc pro topline heads and headers that i have on my 93 ranger are 1-1/2 tube diameter but they are smaller then exhaust ports on my heads...can anyone estimate how much hp will be lost. or any ideas on what i should do... if i don't change headers what will happen?

Default header

there is no way to tell you how much hp you will lose, if your flange is not blocking the port to much it might not matter and you can grind the flange aliitle to make it flow better just becareful not to go to far as you will cause the tube to leak where you grind it ...

Or you can do like my brother did on his dragster. You buy a thick blank spacer to go between the header and the head. You mark the port in one side and the header on the other. You use a die grinder to make a nice transition from one to the other.

That's what I would do also.

another option is to get a header flange and do a tube step down(cut tubes off current headers) but new headers would be best bet
