UPS increase
I just received the 2010 UPS announcement for my UPS account.
They are raising charges by 5.9% in spite of lower fuel cost. I sell a few things on RJ and have sold over 200 items on E bay. The buyers can't stand me passing actual charges on to them!
Occasionally, I receive a debit (after the fact) for a rural delivery or other misc charge, and there goes some profit margin.
Things are bad all over with many people getting no raise at all or even taking a reduction in wages. Most retail outlets are reducing cost to keep from losing market share.
Sorry, just venting.

I started doing ALL of my shipping thru USPS online over a year ago, unless I have to because if size and wieght limitations.
It took just a few minutes to read thru all the account details, and set up a personal home account, so now I calculate, pay and print postage on line, then check off the carrier pick-up box, and the carrier comes right to my home door the next day to get it hand to hand (or off the front porch if I can't be home). It is cheaper, easier and faster than UPS! Finally, the USPS figured out how to compete with the other carriers...
