Default Ford 8" Question

I am aware that a 8" is not in the same league with a 9". I have a 29 Ford hot rod with an 8". The current engine puts out 300hp at the read end and I've not had a problem. Is there anything I can do to this rear end to beefen it up to hold more hp?

If this is a vehicle that is going to be street driven and not have slicks bolted on, I'd leave it alone. JMO!

Default 8"

X2. Unless you plan to race it, I'd be content with the 8 inch.

8"er's are actually pretty strong as it is the same design as the 9" with the pinion down low on the ring, hence more gear contact/strength. There are quite a few ratios available as well as limited slip units.
