do you race turkeys or run after them or run with them like
running with the bulls? has anyone ever been injured or killed
in the turkey run? have you seen one run with his head chopped off

outlaw, i was raised in stockdale tx, we would eat all fresh fiddles,
come thanksgiving we would raise a turkey and fatten him up,
and man, my dad would tell me get back, as soon as he would chop,
that turkey would run all over and even start chasing me like he
could see me, it would run into the fence, waterwell, and blood would
be gushing out of the neck. and here in tx when company would
come over we would not chop the head of a chicken, we would
just break the neck with a twist and the chicken would move a little
but not like the turkey, and serve fresh fried chicken mmmm
the pigs were shot in the head and then cut up for the freezer, but
the cows were sent to a meat plant and came back in neat white
pkgs, we rarely went to the store, we had cows for milk, butter,
chickens for eggs, garden for greens, and we ate plenty of wild game
