Default Advise for next move w/ my car

I have a 72 Nova weighs 2878 ,412 sbc brodix Track 1 heads,4.56 gears 10.5 x 29.5 tire . I don't know much about internals other than it's a roller cam, steel crank which doesn't help any in my decision making because of the unknown.
Here's the deal it has a powerglide w/ 5200 stall car runs 10.60 all day but i'm running out of motor about 2 cars from the end of the quarter. I'm crossing the line @7100-7200rpm i don't like running car at max every pass.Oh almost forgot it's a 10 bolt rearend
I know i can go to 4.11 gears but i don't want to slow the car down what other options do i have.
Can i go w/ a custom grind roller cam to turn up around 7300rpm or what
any ideas or opions welcome & appreciated.

see if they make a 4.29 or 4.30 gear to fit that 10 bolt carieer...that will knock about 250 to 300 rpm out of it....

or if you can go to a 33 inch tall tire..it would work out close to the same thing...about the same Money but less hassle.

if it's a big 10 bolt==8.5 they make all kinds of gears for it, if it's 8.2 you're right they don't make a 4.30. you can tell which one it is by the nut size on the pinion, if it's 1 1/8" it's an 8.2, if it's a 1 3/8" it's a big 10== 8.5.

Zip.

If it is a 8.5, go here.

Default Parts?

Something Else You MIGHT want to Check?
VALVE Springs?
Seems that your combo should go up a Bit Higher than where is STOPPING?

Default Bigger tire

I went with the Hoosier tires because it was the biggest tire for the 10 inch rim when I was looking for tires. It had a 13.5 inch section width and 11 inches on the ground. I had to stretch the wheelwells and could run a taller tire but the clearance in the width was the problem. The limiting factor was the diameter and the smallest section width with the tallest tire is what you want. Phoenix made a 31 inch tall tire but the Hoosier was a 29.5 x 10.5W tire that was 30.7 tall. The wheel well was stretched 4 inches so a taller tire was no problem. I couldn't get a wider tire on it. I had a little over an inch clearance on each side of the tire and ran 6.5 psi.

Yeah kinda thinking it could be valve float cause it seems to be pulling up to the point that it starts popping but hard to tell if it's valve float or just out cam@ that rpm
