lack of fuel
i have a holley 750 mech. that after i take it apart and put back together it runs great on the first two runs down the street then, only the front bowl runs out of fuel...and motor dies.can't restart because no fuel will re-enter front boel.back bowl stays at proper level. If I take the carb apart and go through it it runs great again untill third blast and same thing happens.I have replaced the needle and seat, checked for trash in carb...same problem.I have a holley mech. pump,an in line fuel filter, stock fuel line and gas tank.any ideas ???????

Run it until it goes dry and look in the hole for setting your float and make sure the float is not stuck at the top and not letting any fuel back in.

lack of fuel
ok.if it is what is causing that.everything in the carb is fresh and looks good.if i take carb apart and put back together it will run forever as long as i dont blast it down the street.i can rev it up to 7000 in the shop and it runs great.cant figure out why it only does it under load.can it be a fuel delivery problem?trash in fuel system somewhere?back bowl always has fuel.

Does it have a filter behind the fuel inlet fitting in the carb? If so it might be pluged up.

For it to be a fuel delivery problem and your back bowl still be full you would have to be running off the front only in my opinion.

with the rear bowl staying full, i think your prob has to do with front float, either no spring on float shaft, or float not moveing freely on the shaft, binding etc...
