I don't run tubes in my slicks. I don't see any advantage to running tubes. IMO.

I don't run slicks but adding them is like going to a stiffer wall tire. They also add weight, although not a lot. Are you having trouble with holding air or ?????

If you can run without the tubes, I would. It's just extra rotating mass. If you coat the inside of the slicks with Ivory soap when you mount them, it will seal the tire and allow it to be run tubeless.

M/T slicks are sold as a tube type tire , in their adds they state that
these tires require tubes , of course they also sell tubes for $50.00 bucks a pop too...I have seen plenty of people run them tubeless with the dish washing soap trick...
