Default Mini-tub Feedback

Ok Guys i have made a decision to do My own Min-tube on My 69 camaro this winter...i would like to hear any feedback from someone that has ever done this Kind of Work.

i am Looking at the Kits They sell...far as i can tell i will have to weld in the Tubs and the upper cross member for the shock re-location.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated....need to get all the info i can before starting this project..
also any recommendations on company's that sells these Kits ?

My 69 Camaro was minitubbed before I got it. The back seat still fitted fine. The shocks were moved inboard but the ride was terrible. It had a mono leaf set up with tramp bars etc. I finished up ripping out the mono leaf and putting in a Comp Eng. adjustable Ladder Link set up with coil overs. It was 100% better.
I could fit 28x14.5 x 15 tires on no problem without flaring the rear guards even with the mono leaf.

What kind of back spacing did you use for your wheels. and did you have the rearend narrowed or compensated on the wheel spacing ?

also how did they tie in your top cross member ?

Hey Brian, try this site and see what you think. They offer tubs to a complete kit.
