I took my crank and rods (thanks Fram filters) to Houston Engine & Balancing on a friday, Was told it will be about a week. They called on tuesday morning and said it was done. 3 days b4 it was supposed to be done and 2 b4 pay day, haha.

It must be an Illinois thing, a large quantity of reputable shops here and you get what you pay for!

I use Schmidt Automotive in Indianapolis owned by Steve Schmidt that runs NHRA Pro Stock...They do great work and are fast, unless they are doing his stuff at the time and I've had them tell me that before...They are top notch.
