Default 302 build....

First time buildin a ford, and have a stock block and heads out a 86 mustand. On a budget build and just lookin for mild street use. lookin for ideas on gettin the best bang for my buck. (decided to go carberator on it too) thanks

I have heard that 351 windsor heads will fit real nice on the 302's. Also by doing that it creates a few more horses under the hood.

Rebuild it stock and throw a vortech or procharger on it.

There's your best bang for the buck.

Yeah if you got money falling out your butt :lol:

Slap a plate system on it, or better yet, a plate and a fogger system......

Now that's the most bang for your buck!

I'd race a ford, only if it had a chevy motor in it :shock:

All kidding aside, you got a killer platform, 85 and up SBF's were roller cam blocks, so I'd definetly stay with a roller cam, but up the lift and duration a bit.
Ford Performance Parts # b303 is the cam alot of ford guys are running.
Roller rockers would be my next recommend along with some full length headers.
A performer RPM air gap intake would be good choice.
Put on a Holley 650 double pumper and you got yourself a killer street motor.

thanks for the info Cepx. thats all i need to get some idea rollin never built a motor without havin to go by the rule book let alone a ford. block is gettin sent out to machine shop soon(I HOPE) and ill go from there. thanks alot, nick
