Default recomendation

hi i have the camaro z28 1986the car weight 2450 with me,the car runs 8.87 a 153 mph seg 1/4 miles and the 1/8 5.65 the 60ft1.24.the motor is 540 piston 14to1 the block bored 4.5 rods 6.535 the roller cam 800 lift the heads 320 intake carburetor 1150 and thew converte stall 5800.I boot 5200 with transbrake and change 7400.the transmssion powerglide planetary 1.80 and the gear 4.56.you think the engine is new and just have 2 pass that I recommended that I do I was thinking to change the gear to boot longer.thanks

wildo I think something may be getting lost in translation. Are you asking if you should change the rear gear to a higher numerically gear??

From what I understand you are shifting at 7400. What are you crossing the line at? Also, where did you determine your shift point: dyno reading or ???

shifting at 7700 in 1/4miles

What is your finish line RPM now with the 4.56 gear?
