One of them, either IHRA or NHRA and I am thinking it is IHRA, will no longer advance ET certify a car that has hammertone powder coating on it.

NHRA threw out the chrome years ago as well. Thickness meter for tubing was not giving correct readings.

the rules are any car faster then 750 can not be hamertone powder coat due to you cant see cracks in pipe but you can powder coat using the smooth surface on any class and this rule is not NHRA or IHRA its a SFI rule

I pulled the paperwork and it was 3 years ago I had the hammertone coating on a car. It would not go advance ET IHRA but NHRA would certify for advanced ET.
