Default Ford 9" 3rd Member

I am changing my third member again from street to track. Probably 2-3 times a year.

I have always used Blue RTV and no gasket. It is becoming a pain in the A** to break the seal.

I was thinking of grinding a grove in the third member so I can get a screw driver or pry bar in there next time. It doesn't sound like a smart mod...

Any suggestions? What are others doing to seal the third member in the housing for a good seal, yet easier removal?

Thanks again, Steve

I just use a gasket on mine. Ratec makes a reuseable one...

"It doesn't sound like a smart mod..." That's a smart remark!
