Default 502 wrist pin came loose?

Ihave a 450 hp /502 that a wrist pin came loose on. i have it on a airboat with only about 300 hrs on the motor. Just wondering what might have caused it. Going to change to full floaters. Do you think that a good idea.
Thanks.

Propellors add a lot of extra harmonics. Car engines aren't really built to handle these kind of harmonics.
