Default The new kid on the track.

Not bad for the first practice on a bad track 90 degrees out. Not bad for a thirteen year old either.

Well, He looks like hes a natural, I bet the poor kid can't sleep at night thinking about when he can get into the drivers seat again.

He has to be one happy camper....

But that first time he's a nervous wreck until you strap him in and he figures out he's in control.Last year when he was 12 we taught him to drive a straight shift on a Thurs. night he hopped in a mini stock and practiced the next day and raced the next day.Again a nervous wreck till he got in and started going and then everything was fine. His fourth race we gave him the go ahead to start actually run in race traffic and did great, then the same night he won a 10 lap shootout.

Good for him . he looked like he was picking up the Gas earlier in the turns as time went on.
He needs to keep a certain nervous'scardness" about him when it comes to anykind of race cars.
at 43yrs old i am still a nervous wreck all the way up until i double stage and it all goes away and i go NUMB !

.

I hope your Kid does well in this sport

It's mostly nerves usually. He said tonight he's ready to run some practices.I didn't mention that he was a kart racer first. When we were members of a club some of the adult members or the club would have him drive tiier karts. Some of the karts he drove were going 80mph and it didn't bother him a bit.As for being scared I've only seen him scared once.Talladega "the big one" HE WAS ON THE BOTTOM, he drove away scared and pissed off at the same time, was back in the kart as soon as it was fixed.....
