Default Oil pan change: SBC in 70 Chevelle

Question: Is there an EASY way to change out the oil pan in a 70 Chevelle with sbc? There doesn't seem to be enough room to clear the front crossmember without loosening the motor mounts and raising the motor itself? Any ideas/suggestions? Thanks. Mep

x2 just go ahead and do it. you'll be done before u know it.

Hope you are putting a good pan on and you might consider changing the oil pump when you do...........

Default YEP!

Yep!!! X3 pulling the motor is actually the easier route. What if you do it the other way & have a leak when you're done. Been there, done that, & It tissed me off!
