Default head porting

how much will i gain by having my heads ported?i'm running 11.8 comp pistons/736 lift cam[roller]8-71 alky blower/enderle hat modified with square butterflies by gerardot/brodix 2-plus heads/540bbc;;is it really worth the extra money?around $1000 to $1400 i've been told.

Just turn the blower faster , a $100.00 pulley is cheaper

I wouldn't port them, if any porting is done, do it on the exhaust side and make sure you have some big headers(prefferably) zoomies min. 2 1/4" to 2 3/8", you can't put it in unless you can get it out. I run 2 1/4" zoomies on a sm/blk, with track 1 heads.

That's a good size, rebuild the blower with new teflon and resetup about $300.00/$350.00, Enderle 110 pump $250.00 or so if you get lucky on ebay and make some noise.

How about getting a really good valve job and bowl port, .. ??

is the valve job the stock VJ from brodix or did you have someone
do a tricked out VJ ???

The thing about good heads with blowers, .. no different then N/A,
the better the head, the more power AT LESS BOOST, .

BUT, .. on a limited budget I gotta agree with Zip, .. fix up the blower and get your pump, ..
if there's something left get a good valve job and the valve bowls ported.

I'm with Mr. Boggs. I think you answered your own question.
