Default merlin block and blower

i am about to purchase a merlin x aluminum block,i am building an 871 blown 509 with 2 1090 dominators,afr 335 heads full cnc,714-714 solid roller on race gas.hope to make about 1000 hp,just want some thoughts on block choice and possible hp.

I wish i had that blk, i'd love to build a blown alcohol b/blk. O'k back to your question, i donot think the cam is a good choice for a blower motor. It's a real stump puller for a normally asperated 500" motor single carb, if you're talking about the normal .714/.714 cams that a lot of b/blk guys are running. If you're talking about a special blower grind, forget about what i just said, but i've never seen an equal lift or duration blower cam.

it is a blower grind 278 286 duration at 50 114 lobe seperation.
