can i take the 700 r4 out of my 92 efi chavy and replace it with a turbo 400?

yep,but you will lose the electronic pick up for the speed sensor in the tranny unless you rig it up or just get a th375 and your yoke will still fit

Are you possitive it is a 700R4? I had a 91 and it had the 4l60e

acctualy im not positive thats just word of mouth because isnt that the renewed /remodled version of the 700r4 and if a don't have that will that make a difference in the yolk fittins that 375

a th375 is a th400 transmission with a tailshaft necked down to 27 spline, the same as th350's and 700r4's. They came in many early 90's work trucks.

700r4 has a throttle valve cable and a 4l60e is all electronic.......otherwise they're pretty much the same.
