I think it depends on what your application is. We are trying the Brodix 3xtra oval 365 on our new 582 for this year. I know that there have been good numbers on some 565's running the BMF 355 and Hammertime has BMF's on his 582 that is very impressive. We have also run Dart and Canfield heads which we have been pleased with both companies.

The best conv head is the Brodix Head Hunter with moved valves, that head flat out rocks. There is other "good" heads such as the BMF, Dart's, RFD's.
Now if your talking 16/18 degree stuff, brodix head is the head you want, 12 degree a profiler, 11/14 degree a dart head.

Shawn i think your gonna be well pleased with those 3x ovals..Par uses these heads on his bracket 565ci engines and gets 1020 hp out of them...here is Vid of my cousins Nova with a 565ci with 3x ovals. his best so far is a 4.92et at 142 mph @ 3,000 lbs with 10 inch tires.....and seems to think there is a little more in it
the vid is a 4.97 pass
looks like he leaves soft but it still has a 1.17 60 ft and a 3.08 330ft
you will love those heads...in 2010 i will get those heads myself.
sorry not trying to hijack the thread..just really sold on those 3x ovals heads...

we had a Big grudge race last weekend..was a lot of Chit talking going on two weeks prior..we took the Money last Sunday..the little 565ci conventional head took out a 615ci Big chief....it was a good race..
here is the Vid..notice how the T-bird screwed with him at the lights..
i am standing behind the Nova in the white T-shirt and hat with my arms folded...
this was the 4.92 pass...
