Default Staff Sargeant

My son sgt mike washburn informed me he was promoted too staff sargeant last week..3 tours in iraq and 1 in afganastan, he is going state side finally to be a instructor at ft leanard wood...im a very proud father...brett

Good for you Brett, i'm glad to hear he's comming stateside.
My step grandson joined the Army Airbourne Spl. services out of high school in 2002, he's been in and out of Iraq and Afganistan, on i don't know how many missions, he comes home every yr. or so and spends about 6 mos. then he's gone again. Most of the time i can't keep up with him and he never talks about his missions, i guess he's not allowed too. He's swears he's in it for life, he was gunho, since the age of 12. Hopefully one day he'll get tired of it or get lucky as your son did. God bless those that do the sacrafice, for old timers.
