I am very new to drag Racing and looking for help

Hey Everyone, first off thanks for clicking on my forum. Ok, here's the deal, I have a 2002 3.8L Ford Mustang, it went down the track yesterday for the first time and ran a 16.28 in the 1/4 mile at 85mph. I do not even know where to start to make this a respectable street car, or get it in the high or low 13 second range. As of right now it is completey stock. I having been catching alot of hell for even buying a v6 Mustang from the guys at work (especially from one who just bought a non-supercharged 4.6 Saleen), so I would like to shut them up. Any advice would be great. Thanks Guys.

    God Bless

good links, i think a good cam swap and some head adjustment
and airflow tricks, you can make a v6 muscle, headers, dual exhust
you can turn high 14's or low 15's, with some ET slicks, yea

Learn how to cut a consistently good light should be first on the list before ya start piling in the horsepower. Your 60 foot times will show if you're having traction issues even with a stock V6 depending on the tires you are running. THEN start working on overall ET's. Consistency is Predictability.
