cracked oil pan???

Default cracked oil pan???

I've got a bbc 454 roller mtr, street strip approx 550hp developes cracks in oil pan after a few months. last pan was a moroso heavy duty 7 qt. what could be causing this?

Might want to check your damper and Flex Plate.then rotating assembly (if all else fails)..just my 2 cents



at least thats where i would start.

by the way where is it cracking ?

Before you go away thinking you have a engine problem, I have had nothing but cracking problems for years out of the Moroso pans. Many others I have tig welded up as well. I started using the Hamburgers econo pan, it is thicker and stronger and works great.

Does the goldish anodizing create a metallurgy issue on Moroso's ?
