idk
i didnt think it was gonna produce a hole lot of hp whith those heads..
compression ratio is too low...
but i took it to the track and run a 13.66 in the 1/4 mile in a 83 longbed
it olny has a 2000 stall and 308s too
it dont make sence to me

Hey nothing wrong with that...trust me there are plenty of engines that don't suppose to run that put up some livable numbers.
just by reading your last reply i would say that engine with a 308 gear and tight converter is laying all that 300 hp to the track ( no spin) which results in your 13.66 et....
put a 600hp engine in your truck and drive it the same way and you run a 15.66.....

if its pump gas street, i would go with some either 2.02 or 2.05's..set of aluminum if you can afford..nothing fancy, a Base line head will make a world of difference thAn those 194's..if not a set of world steel/iron eagles or for that matter set of Steel Bowtie angle plugs.. whatever suits the Bill..have them angled Milled by a good machinst to make no more then 11:1 compression..,this way you can keep your flat top pistons.. ON Those heads maybe a bowl blend, gasket match..DO NOT DO ANYMORE THEN THIS on a street driven pump gas engine
RACE fuel, track engine
Nothing less then a 2.05 up to a 2.10......aluminum head with a Full port Job..if you know a good reputable port men...CNC is the next best
Have then angled milled and try to get as close to 14:1 compression as you can with those flat tops..u might can only get 13:1 out if it..
ya gonna have to change up on the intake,,more carb, and more agressive cam..all this is gonna depend which route you take
you can squeeze 550hp out of that 383ci with above changes
