Default MSD RPM PROBLEM

I have a MSD RPM activated switch that I am hooking up to a Biondo electric shifter and I can't get the solenoid to latch. I downloaded a wiring diagram from MSD but I was wondering if anyone had any tips on what I might be doing wrong? Thanks.

Are you running your wire to the ground side of the silenoid?

I ran the yellow wire of the MSD Switch to the black wire of the solenoid and a 12v hot wire to the red wire on the the solenoid.

I believe the grey wire breaks a ground and the yellow makes a ground. Usually on air shifters the RPM atvtd switch makes a ground to make the silenoid activate and on electric, especially spring loaded silenoids, they make a connection to hold it down then the RPM activated switch breaks the ground to release the spring loaded silenoid.

we race at the coles county dragway in charleston, il. its just a little 1/8th mile track. here is a my race space for some pics:

http://www.racingjunk.com/profile/12170

its a '95 s-10, 360ci sbc, powerglide, backhalved with a ford 9" 4:88 gear. last year we ran in the 7.40s and this year we are looking for even lower 7's and hopfully get consistent with the new shifter.

thanks again for your help.

You live just 70 miles from where I was born. I was born in Lawerenceville,Ill., and have alot of family that live in Flatrock. After I looked at your racespace I saw that I had you on my friends list, not that I have to many of those. I really like your truck. If I can help in any way fill free to pm me. If its to detailed I'll shoot you my cell # and we can talk about it over the phone. take care.......
