its sad to see all the companies falling, i know that holley was a
big group with lunati a part of that now lunati is on its own:

By the mid 1990’s Lunati Cams & Cranks had grown to become a profitable, sizeable operation with a shop filled with high quality machinery and a stable, highly skilled workforce. Seeing the potential in Lunati, Holley Carbuerators made Joe an offer he couldn’t refuse. The Holley ownership lasted for several years, but after weathering tough times through over expansion within the market during the early 2000’s, the financial managers at Holley decided it was time to divest of one of their holdings, placing Lunati Cams on the sales block. In late 2007, a viable prospective buyer had been located and a deal was struck. The investors are an exclusive ownership group made up of industry and racing veterans who are dedicated to providing racers with cutting-edge technology at affordable prices.

When asked for his view of the new Lunati, James Humphrey, (Product Manager) observed: "Lunati was always known as a racer-friendly place where you could get honest and qualified information on what it takes to make more power and go faster. Our goal is to restore that trust between Lunati and its customers. We feel very strongly that this is the right direction and so far, the phones have been ringing with racers and engine builders eager to again work with "The new Lunati."

when we were young guns we ran out and bought new holleysand crane cams etc for our cars.now days they run out and buy 4000. worth of tires and wheels instead of making their cars go faster.and they put them on tuners which dont use what we do.our world is shrinking and with not as many new customers coming to them speed companies are in for alot of hard times.with detroit not building v8 ground pounders for the last 30yrs, the hotrod world has nothing to add anymore except what we build from 30 yr. old cars and we are running out of those.the pro racer is just a small niche in the hot rod world and they alone cannot support all our beloved companies. jmo.

Its sad... moza tips, flames on Japanese cars (that are cheap stickers from a store), alternate gas pedals, cheap JC Whitney spoilers, performance chips, & floresent ground lights???? Man, this is killin' me... we real Hot Rod guys are starting to dissapear. Nope, no more "2-lane Black Top" or American Grafitti... now we get the Fast & The Furious... where guys are driving/racing while TYPING ON A LAP-TOP TO TUNE THE CAR???? Yeah, that is cool... NOT.

Remember 'tuning by ear' ?? We all looked up to the one guy who could tweek an engine's performance by ' seat of the pants ' feel and by 'ear' engine tuning.
