Default Spring time start ups. ( coming very soon )

I really like to hear different methods or how some of the northern street guys go about this. In another 2 week I will probably get car out from storage and it's first start up since October. Went over yesterday to scoop my battery out and found it still holding a lot of charge setting of alarms real quick, which is good. Going to re-charge it at home here before heading back over .

Do most of you just get some fuel primed and fire away or do anything different. Mine has manual choke which I only used once anyway.

This likely doesn't effect many of you southern guys ( lucky dogs ) since your not watching snow banks melt away.

Yes snow....when I said put it away in October I meant it this year.

And up until last week I had it piled so high down my drive I couldn't see anything. 6 to 7 feet high piles. Finally had some warmup last week taking much of it away.

Yank the plugs, squirt a little oil in each cylinder, spin it over till oil pressure comes up as well as priming the fuel system. Lever the carb until you get one or 2 squirts from the accel pump/s, screw the plugs back in a FIRE THAT MOTHER UP .

Appreciate the advice DMDD, that I will do pull them out and squirt into each plug hole. Car makes great oil pressure just cranking so thanks.

It's not all bad up here enduring this crappy weather but can be very long winters when they hit in October. I like to keep car out into November normally.

The wife retires soon and we have family in Beverly Hills CA so for the cold months we will soon be outta here. Getting a small Condo there for winters with great weather and lots of cars in that region.

For the big block Chevelle I just leave the fuel pump off and crank it until there is good oil pressure. Then start it.

I personally don't put anything down the carb over winter or anything like that. I have never had a problem in 20 years of winter storage.

I'm in the process of installing a Canton Accusump it protects in the case of low oil psi but also prelubes without cranking. No dry parts after long periods of sitting.
