there are alot of dealers out there, but i like the small guy,
this guy was used in several hotrod mags. and i used him for
parts thru the yrs and he is very knowledgeable for any rear,
his slogan is"happyness is a tight posi" and his axels are called
"kick ass axels" he also has tax return specials a true american

It's going to be very hard to find any aftermarket 3.91's for that early 8 3/4 case. Possibly a factory pickup rear end would have that shorter gear but it'll be used and weaker.

Randy's has 3.73's but no shorter.
