I am going to suggest the glide. The 1st gear in a 350 will hit way harder. For consistency, go with the glide. If you want all out ET, go 350 to start, but the glide may surprise you. On the converter, there could be a couple factors. In most cases, guys that we do work for with a similar size motor and combo have found luck with a good 8 inch.

You didn't say if alchol or gas, but the PG will be more consistent. I don't know if you have enough gear. I run 14X32's 5.43 gears, PG 5500 stall, and a 377" on alcohol. Car weighs 3250lbs, runs 6.52 1/8 and 10.59@ 125mph.
it's what works for me.

The 28.5 tire definately changes the calculations, i have in the past ran a 10.5X28" MT with a 4.86 gear in a 66 nova with a 406 and 377. Ran as fast as [email protected], but the RPM was in the upper 7,000's. The car weighed 3050lbs. Always with a 5500 converter, that car had a turbo 400 with t'brake. Funny thing was i started out with a 355" and 5.93 gears and had a 9200 chip in it. It ran a 10.79@126MPH and i put about 200 passes on the motor before a rod bolt backed off (alum rods) and it looked like a gernade exploded in the pan, i did save the heads, cam and the intake, nothing else. We found rod bolts and caps, pieces of pistons and 6 qts of oil on the track, but it was fun before it all ended. That was over 20 yrs. ago.
