Default Vacuum pump

I am acquiring the parts for a vacuum pump for my sbc. This will be my first one, so I am looking for some advice. I am pretty much down to needing a mandrel. What would be a good one to run? I will need 2 pulleys on mine, one for the alt. and one for the pump. The alt. one is about 4 inches from the balancer now...

The only one I have used is a BLP mandrel. It works well and I have no complaints.

If you're going to a gilmer belt drive type pulley, then good viberations sells the enderle mandrels for about $35.00 each, but you will have to come up with the pulleys and belts. They have 2 different styles of mandrels.

Zip.

I'm not sure on the pulley. The pump has a v belt pulley on it, so I was leaning towards a v to keep keep the costs down. Opinions?

If you can live with a 5.450 dia crank pulley you can buy this set cheap. I realize you don't need the water pump pulley, but the whole package is cheap.

I've used the star, aerospace and moroso mandrel like the star and moroso better. Star is pricey is why I went moroso this go around.
