Fender mounted wheelie bars at Irwindale. Seems hard to believe that was just 30 years ago. Awesome display of history. Nice job!

Good post SlowMo, i've seen them before but well worth looking at again and i did. I love the old days and what racing used to represent. Did you by chance notice almost no stickers in those days, before the big time sponsers?

thanks slowmotion, im goin along with zip on this one.i use to be into photography a long time ago,and that pic of that dragster with the world on fire behind it, has got to be one of the best pics ive ever seen!!!!thanks agian for posting . ken

I had a nice collection of Johny Lightning die cast of a bunch of those old cars ...got washed away in a flood last summer. Great pictures.

Those guys had balls of steel.

Sorry to hear about the collection. Actually sorry to hear you were in a flood at all.

I wonder if 20-30 years from now people will look back on what we are racing and say the same thing. By that time there may be safety equip we haven't even thought of yet.

It could also be "Can you guys believe those guys used to race with gasoline? They were crazy"
