Default Tinting Windows

Does anyone know if its against NHRA / IHRA rules to have your windows tinted. I am thinking about tinting the sides and back but didn't know if it was against the rules. Thanks in advance and Happy Holidays to everyone.

You might be able to tint them lightly, but i think they have to be able to see you in the car incase you are in trouble. I would check a rule book to be sure or maybe someone else knows for sure.

As a purely safety issue I'd be more inclined to make it as easy as possible for the starting line crew, as well as your own crew, to visually make sure YOU are strapped in and got your brain bucket strapped on. All that safety gear only has to work once and the first time you space out hookin' and pullin' you'll need it to work as designed. We've ALL forgotten at least once to buckle up, pull 'em tight or even strap that helmet on after shoving it on your brain cavity.

Thanks guys, that does make since, I guess that tinting is out of the question. Plus I just thought about having to turn onto the return lane and it being dark, would want to go into a ditch because I couldn't see the road.
