Default chev bowtie 565

i am new to drag racing. I am considering buying a chev 565 bowtie block, it has a lae crank, je 13.5 - 1 pistons, dart pro 1 heads. I would like to know if the chev bowtie block is worth spending the money or should i consider another type of block to race?

Are you building this or looking to buy one already built? If you're starting with nothing i would start with a Dart block. JMO

I agree. Bowtie is a good block but if starting from nothing Dart block is the way I'd go.
