Help!How to remove a sleeve from a aluminum block?
I have a SBC bowtie aluminum block and need to remove some of the sleeves with out tearing them up, Any opinions on how to do this ? Thanks guys for the Help.........

i think aluminum is a lot different than steel , i think aluminum is a tighter tolerance, than steel jugs or block, so pressing them out might be tough
unless its a top fuel- i have watched them get tore down ,they tear them down every race,and the sleeves on them just slide out
dont quote me -lol its been a long time since i have seen one tore down
i dont know why they dont show it in depth on the speed channel ect...

Get a big slide hammer and build a plate to hook on the bottom of the sleeve. The put the block on some sort of a propane burner. Heat the block for 5 minutes or so and slide your puller in and pull it out. It may take a few trys but eventually it will come out without damaging the sleeve.
