Merlin Pro Block
Has anyone used the Merlin Pro Block with the raised cam location? Is it better than the Merlin 111 block? Also is it better than the Dart block? Thanks

ive heard that the common vote is dart over merlin. only complaint with my dart tall bbc block is my jesel belt drive hit a boss & needed to be milled.perhaps jesel or dart fixed this problem by now, dunno.
food for thought, dart makes a 11.1 inch deck height.i wished this would of been out when i built a motor two years ago

HEAVY HEAVY HEAVY!!!!!! Unless you are building over 632 inch's, use a Big M with Ductile cap and standard cam, anything bigger needs aluminum block from Brodix.

Earlier this year, we did a 706 truck pull engine, using a Dart 11.1 tall deck race block, with raised cam, iron, with billet caps. Shipping weight was over 330lbs!!. I called it the PB Nut Blaster block, as moving it around, you got an instant hernia, lol. For a drag car, No way, WAY to heavy. For the truck pull deal, just fine.

I already have it and 23 lbs is not a big difference in a car that already weighs 3300-3400 lbs.How do you like the quality?
