Default Single turbo as a power adder? looking for input

Thinking of turbo'ing my 3000 lb race/street car. I have NO experience with a turbo setup, I see many different setups that look fairly simple, I am thinking of a single turbo blowthrough system. Currently running 10.50 index with no power adders. My basic combo is a SBC 406 CID, O ringed block w/stout bottom end and Dart Pro 1 230cc heads, solid roller etc. I figure I would need to lower my compression (currently 12.5:1). But as far as turbo selection, plumbing, headers etc I don't really know where to start. Any GOOD suggestions/advice from an experienced racer? I have the car dialed in pretty well with E85, is this a good turbo fuel, I would think that it is. Dollar for dollar, whats better, a BIG single turbo or a Procharger? I am looking to get my car down in the mid/low 8 second range.

Call Pro charger, we have F1 pro charger's on cars tuned running E85 making 1200 HP.
Much easier to plum and set up than a regular turbo.
