Default Servo Cover Stuck 700R4

Recently purchased a 700r4 that was rebuilt within the last year and wanted to install a servo. Ive done a few servos before but after removing the snap ring it seems no matter what I do the cover just wont budge. It appears to be sealed in tight with some black sealant as I heard this is a common practice when having them rebuilt.

Ive got fed up with it and installed the tranny with the stock servo. I was thinking about removing the snap ring and setting up some kind of net to catch the servo cover / parts and go for a quick run.

Anyone got some tips here?
