This last spring I built a 400 sbc with the brodix IK180 heads. The engine was built for good low and mid range with an rpm ceiling of about 6k. I used a performer rpm intake, 700 holley dp, and a comp xtreme energy 262/280. This combo had awesome throttle response. The engine is now in a 1955 chevy with a 4 speed. It is a tire melter and a blast to drive. As soon as he gets some drag radials on there we can see what type of ET's it will run.
The compression ratio was around 10.2:1 and it seems happy on premium pump gas. The machine work looked really nice compared to some stuff I have seen in that price range.
